Media Release
Hochdorf, 23 May 2023 – HOCHDORF will be present at PLMA Amsterdam with a stand in the Swiss Pavilion of S-GE (Switzerland Global Enterprise). In addition to private label products for infant nutrition "made in Switzerland" and ready-to-export private label brands, the dairy processing company is presenting a concept for a product range for functional food supplements for adults ("Specialized nutrition"), specifically designed for the food industry and Private Label customers.
As a long-standing manufacturer of semi-finished products for the food industry and as the producer and distributor of the well-known infant formula and infant nutrition brand Bimbosan in Switzerland, an expansion of the product range in the direction of adult and senior nutrition was an obvious choice. With specific additional benefits tailored to customer needs – such as increased protein content, functional ingredients or ingredients that promote well-being – the HOCHDORF team will share initial product specifications on a concept base with interested parties at the PLMA. Depending on the customer's wishes, it then goes into the usually very individualized and specific development, whereby the vast majority of customers already bring a brand or an idea of a brand world with them and largely implement this part themselves.
HOCHDORF supplies the rest – high-quality ingredients based on Swiss milk or vegetable substitutes plus recommendations for functional additives.
Service package for Private Label launches
The HOCHDORF ingredients are professionally dried, mixed and packaged at the Swiss sites in Hochdorf and Sulgen. Advisory services such as export/import permits, certificates or other go-to-market requirements round off the "made by HOCHDORF" service package.
In parallel, HOCHDORF also develops its own B2C brands for the "Specialized nutrition" sector – in the company's own development laboratory. These in-house developments support the development, marketing and sales team in understanding customer and production needs even better and at the same time offer an opportunity to present a future-oriented product portfolio in the company's own range.
